I can hardly believe this was ten years ago. Back in 2014, we undertook in quite an adventure. We ascended the bell tower of Leeds Minster, with permission of course, whilst the bell ringers practiced. It was quite a difficult climb as I recall, lots of tricky ladders once the stairs ran out. The views across Leeds were breathtaking, there was also an up-close look at the bells and clock. You can also see the demolition of the southern Eastgate Terminal Building to make way for the Victoria Gate shopping complex, therefore ruining the look of the iconic bookend buildings. However, the bell ringers forgot we were there and locked us in the tower, which added an unexpected twist to the experience.
